What this site collects

Two things. Analytics data about how pages are used, and whatever you choose to type into the contact form.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and where visitors arrive from. It records things like page URL, referring site, approximate location by region, browser and device type. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. It does not tell me who you are.

If you would rather not be counted, use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

The contact form

The form on the contact page is handled by FormSubmit, a third-party form service. When you submit it, your name, email address and message are passed through FormSubmit and delivered to my inbox at alish@alish.co. I use that information to reply to you and for nothing else.

I do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a mailing list. If you want your message and email address deleted from my inbox, email me and I will delete them.

Scheduling

If I have sent you a private booking link, that page uses Cal.com to show my availability. Cal.com collects the name, email and any notes you enter when booking, so that the calendar invitation can be created. That data is held by Cal.com under their own privacy policy and by me in my calendar.

Hosting and technical logs

This site runs on WordPress with standard web-server logging by the host. Those logs include IP addresses and are kept for security and troubleshooting. Comments are disabled sitewide, so no comment data is collected.

Links to other sites

This site links out to LinkedIn, TED, and to the businesses I am involved with, including For Good Consultants, Linked.Club, GoWebsited, Founder Dine and Alish Group Inc. Once you follow a link, that site governs your data, not this one.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what personal information I hold about you, ask for a copy, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email alish@alish.co and I will respond. If you are in the EU or UK, the same applies under GDPR.

Changes

If what this site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes too.
